Dagens Næringsliv,
Norway, Redesign
This is a big renovation. Overall, the paper looks well structured, more modern and clean. Getting rid of old typography and old fashioned bulky design elements refreshed the paper clearly. The redesign brought elegance and style that was needed. Typography is one of the strongest points of the redesign – the leap is huge. The new layout uses modern and clean typefaces that are easy to read. White pages make the newspaper breath on Saturdays and the use of pink color keeps the branding solid. Although, the light pink balk on the page sides feels a bit random and the overall impression somehow framed, strict and rigid.

Climate change has been covered from so many angles but this visualization manages to bring something fresh on a table. The presentation is playful and the dialog flows well. A clever way to communicate the hard debated topic.

***

Dagens Næringsliv,

Tragedien i Tripoli
Great war photography that reveals the madness in Tripoli. Photos are very harsh and many of them “on the edge” – but sometimes we need this kind of eye-opener. The layout is stylish and consistent and the photos are presented effectively.

***

The idea of the magazine is not original, but the performance is very elegant. The photos are playful and have a big role in the magazine, but at the same time they go hand in hand with the design, that plays around with the fonts in the headlines – a detail which makes you smile and love the layout.
