Bonnier News is looking for a Content designer/storyteller

Bonnier News Brand Studio is a fullservice bureau and innovationsdepartment at Dagens Industri, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen, Sydsvenskan, Helsingborgs Dagblad more than 30 magazines,

The juries at work

11 jury members are working at this time in Helsinki, trying to find the best pages in the print competition and online publications in the digital competition.

The number of entries in the print competition this year was 292. 30 media houses have sent contributions.

The digital jury is evaluating 111 entries which is the highest number of entries ever.

The jury work will continue until Wednesday.

Meet the jury

The 2018 design competition jury meet in Helsinki during the first week of March 2019.

During some intense days they will go through hundreds of entries from all Nordic and Baltic countries, both digital and printed publications.

 

The print jury is hosted by Helsingin Sanomat, the largest newspaper in Finland.

The digital jury is hosted by Nitor Digital Engineering Company, an IT-consultancy in Finland and Sweden.

 

The results of this year’s competition will be revealed later this spring. Keep your eyes open for information on snds.org.

10 Finalists for World’s Best-Designed™ Newspaper

Five judges of the Worlds Best Designed™ Newspaper competition narrowed down more than 100 entries to 10 finalists over three days of deliberations in St. Petersburg.

Steve Dorsey, Javier Errea, Bill Gaspard, Suzette Moyer and Shazna Nessa first defined a shared vision and framework before paging through multiple sections from each newspaper entered.

The World’s Best-Designed™ winners will be announced at The Society’s annual workshop in Chicago in AprilThis special evening on April 4 also honors other Best of News Design winners.

Årets Dagstidning in Sweden

The Swedish Publishers Organisation – TU -Medier i Sverige – has announced the nominees in the contest Årets Dagstidning 2019. The winners will be presented at a Gala Show at Berns in Stockholm April 11.

Årets Dagstidning has seven categories and 18 newspapers and newsorganizations has been nominated in the competition as well as three persons.

Mittmedia bought by Bonnier

It was a close race but in the end Bonnier bought the Swedish Mittmedia. The Norwegian Polaris, owned by Schibsted, was also in the market for buying the Swedish newspaper group, CEO of Schibsted, Per Axel Koch according to kampanje.com

Politiken winns three digital prizes

The Danish Newspaper Politiken got three Bronze medals in the competition Best Digital Design 2018, which were held in Washington.  The competition is conducted by Society for News Design. 1300 entries took part in the competition.

Bonnier bids on Mittmedia

Bonnier has put a bid on the Swedish Mediahouse, Swedish  Medievärlden tells. The Norwegian company Polaris  has also put a bid. Mittmedia publish 28 local- og free newspapers and is the owner of several , digital portals.
