SNDS is closing down

For the last six years SNDS has lost a lot of members. We have had almost 300 members in 2010 but now we are down to a few. In the same period of time the news business has lost readers and money, and the people still in the business are working hard on staying in business. The board of SNDS and the latest general assembly have decided to close down SNDS as an independent society for the news business in Scandinavia. It will be possible for other SND members to form a new organisation in Scandinavia if SND approves it.
Thank you for almost 40 years of conferences, networking and Best of Scandinavian News Design – SNDS Awards – competitions. We still have a small amount of money left that will be used on SND grants for education of young news designers.
All the best, Frank Stjerne, chairman of SNDS
